Listen up, intuitive! You don’t suck!

You’re different!

The community, course and kick-butt coach for intuitive, creative entrepreneurs.

If you’re ready for a change, you came to the right place!

Because I want to tell you what I wish I knew when I first started my business.
You gotta know these 2 things before you start building your intuitive-friendly empire…

1. There are Stages.

You gotta stop buying the throw pillows before the house is built! Know what I mean? The business foundations may not be as sexy as the decor, but without them, the house that is your business is gonna fall down. Which is why I’ve constructed your proven 8 stage blueprint for long term, sustainable and profitable success.

2. Intuitives do it differently.

Just because you have to have the bits you suck at, in order to run your business, doesn’t mean you have to do them! I’ll show you how to address, work-through and outsource the stuff you suck at. This is a business, not a hobby. So let’s show you exactly how to CEO like the creative, visionary, intuitive you truly are!

Life is not ‘one size fits all’, so why would business be that way?
As a highly successful intuitive, I want to show YOU how you can create a business on your terms, that revolves around stuff you rock at and says “bye, bye, honey pie!” to keeping up with the IG Jones’s!

In just 8 weeks you’ll discover your type, cut your own crap and stop doing stuff you suck at, so you can build a business that works for YOU.

And here’s how we’re gonna do it:

Tell me more...

Stage 1

Be Unapologetically Who You Are

Peek out from behind that denial-pillow and fess up if this sounds like you…

  • Are you stuck in a soul-sucking, unfulfilling job, dreaming of creating something truly meaningful?
  • Have you created a business, yet are spinning your wheels because you didn’t set up the right foundation at the start?
  • Have you outgrown private clients and want to extend your reach to groups, online, books, etc?
  • Are you surrounded by the naysayers, constantly projecting their own fears and failure onto you?
  • Have you lost your voice, your true identity, and find yourself swimming in the ocean of confusion and limiting beliefs?

Yep, I was there once too. #preach

The great news is, there is a way out and it starts with Stage 1 of the Don’t Do Stuff You Suck At Entrepreneurial School.

In Stage #1 of this 8-Week program, we focus on laying the foundation, mastering your personality type, honing in your zone of genius, and developing the right mindset to rocket to success!

Oh and P.S.: You don’t have to want to be a millionaire. You don’t have to crave 6-figure years or 10k months… success is yours when you show up for your definition, unapologetically.

Stage 2

The Shift

Hey Squirrel… any of this sound familiar?

  • You get a freaking FABULOUS idea for your business, jump in headlong, work your tail off, complete 80% and then… abandon it to chase the next great idea.
  • You’re a chronic downloader of all the freebies that die the moment you press ‘download’.
  • You’ve bought a bajillion courses, only to leave them gathering dust in your inbox.
  • You feel pulled in a million different directions, never knowing which idea really has legs.
  • You’re juggling all the balls—and despite your best efforts, you’re still dropping them.
  • You’re indecisive and keep changing your mind every time something new comes along.
  • You’re distracted, frustrated and anxious every time you think about ‘what’s next’.

You’re not nuts. You’re suffering from an acute case of…

Squirrel Syndrome!!!

…and you need my The Shift content that comes in Stage 2.

If you read the above like a list of symptoms… then I’m prescribing you some Jessica Kick-Butts treatment! Squirrel syndrome, if left untreated, can lead to: burnout, business failure, self doubt & self esteem issues, depression and anxiety.

In Week 2, students will learn about how to create streamlined structures and laser-focused mindset that are critical to have in your business life in order to make “The Shift”.

What the heck is “The Shift?”

“The Shift” is a monumental transition that takes you from “playing” with your business to actually building a viable business that will be the catalyst for making all your dreams come true.

This particular stage of entrepreneurial transformation requires solutions and structures like:

  • A reflective and quiet morning or evening routine
  • A Coach who truly cares about your success
  • An accountability partner who shares your struggles
  • Core Values
  • Weekly CEO Meetings
  • Time blocking
  • Personal accountability
  • Intuitive methods and habits that work for only us 25% (they are radically different)

Stage 3

Your Mess is Your Message

You’re not a hot-mess. Ok, scratch that. We’re all a mess. But it’s your own personal shade of mess that’s going to help you to define your message. Trust me.

I’ve shared with you my messy story of divorce and transformation from a boring corporate job to psychotherapist to author/speaker/business coach because I know so many of you can relate to some part of my messy story.

But even more importantly, all the lessons we need to draw from are there, buried in the messes of our everyday lives!

Be unapologetically who you are.

My private little intuitive… Your clients will relate to you, your stories, your transparency, your authenticity and how you made them feel (along with tangible tools too, of course, but we will get to that in later stages).

Whatever your mess is—divorce, death, grief, loss, addiction—whatever it is, YOU SURVIVED IT FOR A REASON.

You have a purpose to fulfill. But you gotta change your own life in order to change other’s!

This is exactly what we tackle in Week 3 of Don’t Do You Suck At: Entrepreneurial School. I unpack all these topics related to your mess and your message in more detail because Stage 3 is all about pinpointing your niche, mastering your one-line pitch, and embodying your client avatar.

There’ll be no more saying “I hate having to chase down clients!”, “I have no idea what to say at networking events!” or “What the hell do I talk about on social?”
Because we’ll get your message tied up so damn tight, you’ll never leave home without it!

I’m going to help you attract your ideal clients. No more chasing, begging or nagging. Your clients will appear because they were attracted by your message and your unique story.

You will learn how to introduce yourself with amazing clarity, ease, and grace on repeat!

Stage 4

Show Up

Wanna get clients but get the heebie-jeebies everytime you try to show up?

Well, that’s gotta stop… ASAP.

As a business owner, you are your brand—and branding your business is serious business. Does that thought make you cringe? Are you hiding in the shadows afraid to come out and BE UNAPOLOGETICALLY WHO YOU ARE!? I know.

You’re terrified of making a mistake and having people judge you.
You’ve been slowly and steadily climbing this mountain of building your business and you’ve finally reached the pinnacle of decision overload. Having to make decisions like:

  • What colors should I use in my logo?
  • Which fonts should I incorporate into my brand?
  • What feelings do I want to invoke with the imagery?
  • Do I really need to be in my business photos?
  • Do I even need professional photos?

Sound familiar? IT’S EXHAUSTING!!

This is one area where new entrepreneurs tend to D-R-A-G things out because they simply don’t know how to snap out of it. I know this stage very well because I’ve lived it myself. But the good news is: I was able to break through those barriers for myself and then turn around and help hundreds of others do the same thing!

Consider this stage a solopreneur milestone marking a new era of confidently branding yourself. If this is something you can identify with, you need Week 4 of Don’t Do Stuff You Suck At: Entrepreneurial School, all about tackling the barriers that are keeping you from showing up in your business.

We’ll be focused on:

  • Branding
  • Your Business Image
  • Your Website
  • Your Social Media Pages
  • Copywriting to Your Ideal Client

I know you’re a fighter, you’re passionate about your business, and determined to serve your audience. But let’s be real, we all want to quit sometimes…

Sounds like your average Monday – doesn’t it? Don’t sweat it, it happens to the best of us. But getting back into the game, pushing aside the excuses, and showing up consistently is what will distinguish YOU from all the rest!

Stage 5

Systems & Automation

There is one really unsexy stage of business that we intuitives dread…
Yes, I’m referring to the “S” word… That disgusting, nasty, gross “s-word”… You guessed it:

Systems. (Ugh! Pass the tequila!)

Setting up systems is just a natural part of the entrepreneurial progression but… intuitives hate it!! I mean we hate it with a passion and avoid it like the plague!

Systems can be a CRM, an online calendar, invoicing/payment apps, project management software, and SOPs… repulsive right? I know, I feel the same way. The reason we (intuitives) resist creating and implementing systems so much is because it requires us to be detailed, logical, technical, and procedural—literally the back seat for most of us!

So when we finally force ourselves to sit down and work through our systems, we do it like we’re drunk!

Dealing with systems forces us into the “drunk uncle” seat of our personality type. If I’m going to be real, this is what really distinguishes me from other coaches—the fact that I know personality type like the back of my hand and can coach you on how to work with your innate strengths and weaknesses in your business.

So take a deep breath, and relax. I’ve got you!

If you’re anything like me, you likely get a bit of anxiety every time you land a new client because:

  • You have to “onboard” them with contracts, forms, and emails,
  • You have to ensure they are set up in the invoicing system correctly
  • You have to organize all their responses, plans, and information into your project management system…

Can you relate? Just reading that list made you feel anxious, didn’t it? Then I have great news for you! Stage 5 of Don’t Do Stuff You Suck At: Entrepreneurial School is exactly what you need!

In Week 5, we’re cruising right through Systems & Automation. I’ll guide you through:

  • Setting up & utilizing a CRM
  • Integrating an invoicing system
  • Implementing a lead generating IFO to build your email list
  • Finding, hiring, and effectively utilizing your first Assistant

Trust me, you can get to a place where things run smoothly in your business, I promise! By the end of Week 5 of Entrepreneurial School, you won’t dread and avoid systems anymore—you’ll be thankful you have them!

Systems can save you. In fact, they can free you up so that you can land more clients.

First, let’s get you past the energetic block that’s holding you back from conquering your systems and automation.

Are you ready to take this journey alongside the other brave women who are fully resigned to rocking systems in their business?

Don’t drive your business drunk. I’ll be your designated driver for Stage 5 *wink*

Stage 6

Let’s Make Some Money, Honey

It’s ok to own the fact that you want to make money. Being an intuitive, however, might mean that you want to make money in a way that’s different to every other Tom, Dick and Harry on Instagram.

Oh, and you don’t have to keep up with the Entrepreneurial Jones’s if you want to be successful on your own terms!

As an entrepreneur our money issues can quickly come to the surface when we approach the dreaded tasks of creating our pricing, considering discounts, saying those prices out loud to new clients, and publishing our pricing in our media.

That’s why Week 6 of Don’t Do Stuff You Suck At: Entrepreneurial School is all about the money, honey!

In Stage 6, we’ll dive deep into identifying some of the money issues that may be impacting your business and keeping you from being profitable. We’ll also cover:

  • How to stop discounting your products or services and be able to confidently share your prices!
  • How to develop clear offers that really speak to your target market!
  • The different types of funnels and how to set one up that actually converts!
  • How to approach your work with clients that will help you gain momentum, credibility, testimonials, and raving fans!

Let’s face it, your business can’t survive on hugs alone! I want you making a profit and lots of it!!

Sometimes it’s necessary to spend money to make money. The key is to make sure you’re spending money on the right things! Behind every fabulous success story is a series of carefully chosen investments. I want you to always be sure that you invest in the right people, systems, and things.

Stage 7

Connection vs. Transaction

Gone are the days of “spray & pray” marketing techniques. You know, the kind of marketing that involves “spraying” your audience with your message and then sitting back to wait for the sales to roll in?

In order to successfully market your business today you have to make authentic connections.

There’s a popular phrase in business, “Always Be Marketing” or ABM. But marketing can be daunting and exhausting to a new entrepreneur. Marketing, or the overwhelm related to it, is one of the biggest hurdles for my clients.

I frequently hear:

  • “I’m afraid to email my list. What do I even say to them?”
  • “How often should I be posting on social media if I have an upcoming sale or event?”
  • “Should I have separate personal and business accounts on social media?”
  • “How do I do marketing without seeming sleazy?”

Marketing will seem exhausting to the new entrepreneur until you get your strategy down and make it a habit. Just like brushing your teeth is an easy habit, marketing can be the same.

The art of “connection marketing” takes a bit of time and practice, but it’s definitely what I practice and what I teach to all my clients. You have to start by seeing marketing through a different lens, less as the lead up to a transaction and more as creating a relationship with real people.

Our customers want us to love them and connect with them. They want us to “get” their pain and problems. Then they want the sensation pictured in the image above…a warm and loving hug from someone who can help!

If you focus your marketing on creating an authentic relationship with your prospective clients, then they will definitely want to do business with you over and over again.

In Week 7 we’re focusing on Connection vs. Transaction. We’ll work on creating
meaningful connections with your audience and building relationships that lead to sales and even greater opportunities!

In Stage 7 we will:

  • Work on establishing systems for email sequences and autoresponders, GAC (Get Acquainted Calls), and strategic networking.
  • Develop a content calendar.
  • Strengthen your copywriting skills & overall marketing strategy.
  • Build the Know-Like-Trust-Factor with your audience.

I promise that you’ll see an amazing difference in new business when you make the shift to connection marketing.

Stage 8

The Long Game

Do you have “short-timers syndrome?” Do you give up too quickly? Have you ever said to yourself, “I’m NOT seeing any return on my investment,” when it’s only been a few weeks or months? Do you get bored easily in your business and try to shake things up too often?

LISTEN UP! There are no overnight successes.

You’ve got to stay committed for the long haul. You’ve got to learn to play “the Long Game.” (Warning: Football fan girl here.) It’s one of the most amazing, awe-inspiring images to watch a quarterback set his eyes down field 40-, 50-, 60-yards and throw the ball perfectly all the way down field.

It’s a magical moment, and yet sometimes we newly-minted Entrepreneurs can get stuck on playing the “short game” too often, meaning we’re only working on the next short term goal with no real two to five year vision of success in mind.

BUT…we have got to shake these overnight success expectations out of our system!
In all honesty, true success stories take time to unfold. You’ve got to be in it to win it! It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
But to win the long-game, you’ve got to have a plan.
That’s why Stage 8 of Don’t Do Stuff You Suck At is all about cultivating your mindset for long-term success.

In Week 8, we’ll turn our attention to:

  • Dreaming up bigger goals
  • Learning about the power of consistency in your foundational business habits
  • The importance of surrounding yourself with like-minded entrepreneurs
  • Implementing “Slight Edge” steps to nail your business goals
  • Managing the long-term needs of your business, including any needs for pivots, shifts, or redesigns.

That’s right! In Stage 8 you’ll be making the shift from “hobbyist” to CEO!!

“She’s brilliant, relevant, authentic and all heart.”

I first laid eyes on Jessica when she was the keynote speaker at a conference I was attending, and she had me at first PINK! Then she sealed the deal with her message of living unapologetically who you are through your Myers-Briggs type. It spoke straight to my soul and I became a superfan. Fast forward to being in her Facebook groups, listening to her amazing podcast, and it was a no-brainer to join her Girl Boss business coaching during summer school. Clearly I love #allthingsjessica because I joined the Live Unapologetically course without hesitation! She’s brilliant, relevant, authentic, and is all heart: from her scalp to the tips of her toes.

Her passion and talent for helping us live, love, and run our businesses exactly as we were created to do is a gift to all that know and work with her! I am a continually better human because of what Jessica has preached 🙂
