Ep. 17 J’s and Wonky Summer Energy
“I‘m about to go on a Rampage, quite honestly, this summer, like a straight up rampage to help people have the best summer of their lives.”
I’m going just going to keep it real right up front. What I’m going to talk to you about today is potentially going to just blow your mind. This is especially for the “J’s.” That’s not true. This is for everybody. But this shit today is a little off the hook. I remember learning about this and having it be potentially one of the most validating things I’ve probably ever learned. Learning about my personality type, the “J” personality type, which is 50% of the population, and how we react during weird, wonky, unstable summer energy.
When I learned this from Jeni Dahn, understanding that the summer comes with unstable “seasonal” energy because when summer comes, it’s this “free time,” which we feel as kids when suddenly school’s out and the days are long, and we get to play!
When we are in winter, we’re obviously hibernating, we’re closed in. This is a time to really work plans for our lives and doing all those things to take care of ourselves. That way when spring comes, we flourish out of those ideas and those ideas start to grow and they start to come out of us.
Then we go into summer and summer is this unstable wonky energy. Technically there isn’t a lot of productivity going on, but that is what this Front Seat Life “Summer Challenge” is all about. Because we can be productive, we can, and we need to because it’s three months out of the year. So, this Summer Challenge is to help you stay on track during this time.
These are all things that we seem to somewhat abandon in the summer. I hope and pray that you will stick with me over the summer because today’s episode I hope is helpful in just validating the wonkiness of summer. The biggest thing is keeping that schedule, understanding who you are, and being unapologetically who you are.
Go to my website at for more information about the Book Club, and my event in September, and of course, stick with me for this challenge. The Front Seat Life Summer Challenge is about showing up and continuing to be unapologetically who we are, to not do stuff that we suck at, to not pretend that we suddenly change in the summer, and to stay productive.
And the way that we need to stay productive is to have a schedule that we stick to, to get some sleep, to still do self-care, to have fun, to compartmentalize, and to make sure that we’re really, really clear about our life, love, and business goals. Again, I don’t know what this summer bullshit is, we just throw everything out the door and take the whole summer off, and then come September you’re three months behind.
I want to help you stay on task and I’m on a crazy passionate kick right now about wanting this to be the best summer of your life, to own who you are, to learn to, to have the best business, to have the best fitness and wellness and relationships of your life. I hope that you will join me all summer long and I can’t wait. Stay focused. Stay in your brilliance being unapologetically who you are and thank you so much for listening.
